Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - A large poster exhibition will be held to celebrate the national holidays in the next few weeks in Nghe An province.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to display up to 150 posters at Ho Chi Minh Square in Vinh for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution on August 19 and National Day on September 2.

The exhibition aims to honour the historical significance, values and milestones of the revolution that took place in 1945 and the birth of the country, as well as the application of the lessons of the August Revolution in the struggle for national liberation and reunification.

It also promotes achievements in building a socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam of the people, by the people and for the people, highlighting the great victories and achievements of the country over the past eight decades, especially after nearly 40 years of implementing the Doi moi (renewal) policy that was initiated and led by the Party.

Through the exhibition, organisers remind people of the great contributions of the Party, people and army in the struggle for national liberation and reunification as well as in the cause of building, developing and defending the country.

It is also aimed at encouraging and inspiring people from all walks of life to strive to overcome difficulties, successfully complete political tasks and achieve great results in celebration of major national holidays. /.
